The Power of Texture in Abstract Painting

<p>Abstract art is often a visual experience, but I believe it should also be a tactile one. Texture is the secret language of a painting. It invites you to imagine the touch, the feel, the substance of the work. It transforms a flat surface into a landscape.</p><p>I use a variety of materials to achieve this, from heavy-body acrylics and modeling paste to sand and found objects. Each material adds its own voice. A smooth, glossy surface might speak of calm and reflection, while a rough, jagged texture can scream with raw energy. By building these surfaces, I aim to create a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond what the eye can see.</p>
